Our Model 175 RX is a semi-automatic button machine. Made
of solid-steel, it can produce up to 5 professional quality 1-3/4"
buttons in a single minute!
If you've ever
struggled to make buttons using one of the inexpensive Badge-A-Minit
button machines, you're going to be in for a very pleasant surprise
the first time you make buttons with our Model 175 RX.
That's because the Model 175 RX is both fast and easy
to use!
To make a button, using the Model 175 RX, simply place
your artwork and button-making supplies into the machine, pull
the handle down twice and in a matter of seconds your perfectly
formed button is finished!
(To see just how easy it is to operate our Model 175 RX,

Never again will you need to settle for buttons that have paper
or plastic sticking out the sides, or make excuses to your customers
why their buttons fell apart because they weren't crimped together
tightly in the first place!

The
Model 175 RX makes four different types of buttons
The Model 175 RX is versatile and can make four different
types of 1-3/4" buttons without using any adapters.
It makes pin-back buttons, magnet-back buttons, key chain buttons,
and mirror-back buttons.
Creating artwork for your buttons
Just about any graphics application can be used to create
the designs for your buttons, and you can print your designs
using any ink jet or laser printer.
Special paper is NOT required... regular copy paper and ink jet
paper will work just fine.
Photo buttons
With the Model 175 RX, you will also be able to easily
make photo buttons, using thicker photographic paper from photo
labs. Badge-A-Minit machines have difficulty using the heavier
photographic papers, but the Model 175 RX can handle it.
Make buttons anytime / anywhere
Since the Model 175 RX doesn't need electricity and
is small enough to fit in a child's lunch box, you can take it
along and make buttons wherever you happen to be.
It's great for carnivals, state fairs and trade shows.
Why button machines made of steel make better buttons than
those made of plastic or aluminum
Unlike the inexpensive Badge-A-Minit machines that are made
of plastic or a plastic-like compound, the Model 175 RX
is made out of solid-steel.
And while it is obvious that steel is more durable than plastic
or aluminum, button machines made of steel make better buttons.
Consider for a moment what must take place every time you make
a button.
Quite simply, making a button involves the transfer of mechanical
energy.
It begins as your arm pushes down on the handle of the button
machine and then travels through the machine (and its dies or
assembly rings) into the button parts, which are themselves made
of steel. The button design and mylar covering must be pulled
taut over the face of the button and the excess material of the
design and mylar covering are tucked up underneath. The back
of the button is then pressed into the front and the edge of
the button MUST be tightly crimped if the button is to stay together.
Being made of solid-steel, the Model 175 RX is able to
facilitate this transfer of mechanical energy far better than
button machines made of plastic or aluminum.
This is why carpenters use hammers that are made of steel...
not plastic or aluminum!
Buttons made with the Model 175 RX will have smooth, tightly
crimped edges. They won't exhibit the poor-quality issues that
are common to buttons made using plastic machines. Issues such
as buttons having rough or serrated edges, or buttons that fall
apart because the edges weren't tightly crimped)
Circle cutters
Since cutting the artwork for your buttons is an important part
of the button-making process, a discussion about circle cutters
will help you better understand the process of how buttons are
made.
We currently offer two types of circle cutter... the AC-1 circle
cutter and the Punch Cutter.
For most customers, I recommend the AC-1.
The AC-1 circle cutter does its cutting by means of a rotary
blade that is safely housed inside the body of the cutter. The
blade sits at the end of a cutting arm that is fully adjustable.
It is this feature that allows the AC-1 to make the cuts for
1-inch buttons, all the way up to buttons measuring 3-1/2"
inches in diameter.
To cut your artwork with the AC-1, simply place the metal cutting
plate (that comes with the AC-1) on a table and place your artwork
on top of the cutting plate. Position the AC-1 over your printed
artwork, center it over your artwork, then push down and turn
the handle to cut your artwork into a perfect circle.
The AC-1's rotary blade will stay sharper longer than any straight-edged
cutting blade (such as the ones used in Badge-A-Minit's circle
cutters). This allows you to make better cuts and cut thousands
of design without having to change the blade.
It is also possible to re sharpen the AC-1's cutting blade. To
re-sharpen it, simply remove the blade from its adjustment arm
(it's held in place with a "C-clip") and run the edge
of the blade over a whetstone, just as you would if you were
sharpening a knife.
For customers who prefer not to resharpen their blades, replacement blades are only $5.00 each.

30-Day Money-back Guarantee
If you try the Model 175 RX button machine, I'm certain
you are going to love it!
That why I offer customers the opportunity to try the Model
175 RX for a full 30-days, without risk or obligation. If
after using it, you aren't completely satisfied, simply return
it to us for a full and immediate refund (less shipping).
If you purchase a button machine from
Badge-A-Minit and then decide to return it because it doesn't
meet your expectations, they will charge you a 10% restocking
fee.
Yet, at Dr. Don's Buttons, we don't charge restocking fees...
and we don't need to.
That's because customers who give our button machines a try seldom
ever return them!
And hopefully this will lead you to wonder... if Badge-A-Minit's
button machines are so good, why do they charge a restocking
fee when we don't?
